Sacred 3 Review - The Digital Fix

Added: 20.08.2014 12:17 | 9 views | 0 comments

As with many other games forged in the tempestuous and volatile bowels of the current games industry, Sacred 3s path to existence is a fractured one. Previous series developer Ascaron went into administration after the release of Sacred 2, the license eventually being acquired by Deep Silver and passed to new developers Keen Games to craft this markedly different sequel. We return once again to the land of Ancaria, where the unquestionably evil Lord Zane has allied with dark forces to raise his Ashen Empire, and your band of unlikely heroes must fight back and stop him claiming the fabled Heart of Ancaria. So far, so fantasy

At E3 the developers of shocking cult shooter Spec Ops: The Line revealed that they were making a sequel to Techland's wildly successful zombie slaying shooter Dead Island. With Techland branching off into all new territory (a shooter with zombies, this time called Dying Light) Yager Development have stepped in to take Dead Island in an all new lighter direction. While a much different game, Sacred 3 is fine in its own right, is not the Sacred you remember or even want."

Risen 3: Titan Lords Now Available

One Angry Gamer "The action-oriented role-playing game from Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver has officially launched today for the Xbox 360, the PS3 and for PC. The game is the third entry in Piranha Bytes alternate take on the open-world RPG genre, after coming off the meager success of the Gothic series and the first two Risen games. Risen 3 has quite a bit of hype riding on it coming off some positive previews and some promising looking gameplay videos."
